on the bright side...

Last week, one by one, we all started getting some nasty cold and fever bug that Josh had. We're still not out of the woods but we've started to emerge a little from our hibernation. Here are some things that have brought a smile over the last week. Plenty of time to get lost in comfy blankets and stacks of good books:

My thoughtful friend who dropped off homemade bread and chicken soup as soon as she heard we were under the weather:

Baking yummy treats with the kids:

Naya's cuteness in my favorite apron:

The rain and other signs that it's March and Spring is just around the corner:

I could do without the fevers and runny noses but the extra time to read and paint and snuggle has been quite nice. If ya can't be healthy, at least be cozy.

Sorry you guys have been feeling bad! Did you get your new camera for those happy faces? You got one of Naya in front of that same window Juden was in for the painting. Don't tempt me Linda! Cuz then I'll tempt you! Love reading your posts and I hope you get your apron back from that little flower fairy girl!

I couldn't agree more!

Hope everyone is back to the best of health soon.

Yep the new camera is here! It's exciting figuring it all out. It's been a while since my manual had died so I feel kind of rusty, but this digital has got all sorts of features I haven't figured out yet.

You capture "cozy" so well. Makes me want to curl up with a cup of tea and a book at YOUR house. Glad you guys are on the mend.

Linda, you're so nice! Really. In reading this post I was taken in by the term "cozy". I haven't had cozy... I've had a bunch of folks puking and with diarrhea!! The fever thing is so scary, though. I would rather have stuff coming out than an unexplained temp. Hope WE (yours and mine) are all finally better for real and for a long time! When will you sing again at church??? I miss your voice...
